5th GRADE--Jim Dine Hearts

The 5th Graders learned about the artist Pablo Picasso and his Cubism Style. The students also learned about the artist Jim Dine and how hearts influenced his artwork. After learning about what Cubism is, we discussed pattern, repetition, and unity. The students had to design a heart in Picasso's cubism style using the three elements pattern, repetition, and unity. The students also learned how to blend colors and how to choose which colors to blend together.
